Co-sponsored by The Atlantic Philanthropies and HRFNs Learning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Working Group
This webinar will focus on how evaluation can be used to generate support for a grantee or field beyond the period of funding. As the Atlantic Philanthropies concludes its grantmaking, it has sought to conduct evaluations not to inform its own grantmaking strategy but rather to build capacity of its grantees, to capture its experiences and to inform and inspire practitioners, activists, and donors going forward.
This webinar will offer concrete examples of using evaluation to inform a project, grantee or field, discuss challenges faced throughout this process, and explain more broadly the goals, rationale and internal decisions involved in designing Atlantic’s final phase learning agenda. These goals include documenting knowledge for influencing policy, sharing insights into practice, and mobilizing new resources.
