Become a Member
One of the many things I like about HRFN is how you put care into bringing different voices, perspectives and experiences; this is not easy to find in a network where an important part of its membership is from the global north.
Membership in the Human Rights Funders Network is based on affiliation with an eligible grantmaking institution. Membership is open to staff, consultants and trustees of:
- Grantmaking institutions, such as private foundations, corporate foundations, family foundations, public foundations, community foundations, donor-advised funds, collaborative funds, quasi-governmental funding entities, and operating foundations
- Individual philanthropists with significant giving programs
- Philanthropic consultancy, support, advisory, or hosting organizations
- Grantmaker affinity groups
Please note that individuals whose primary role relates to fundraising or grantseeking are not eligible for membership in the Human Rights Funders Network. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
If your institution is already represented in the Human Rights Funders Network and your primary role is related to grantmaking, you are automatically eligible for membership. Please complete the form below to be added to our member database. You will receive a member log-in to the website so that you can access our map of human rights philanthropy and will be added to our e-newsletter, event emails and any working groups that you select.
We will review all applications with the above eligibility criteria in mind and may contact you for more information.
