Thousand Currents Academy

This August, Thousand Currents will host its first Academy in the Global South, focused on internationalism and global solidarity in practice. Through visits with movement communities, Indigenous-led pedagogy, political education, and dialogue with leaders of Brazil’s largest social movement, participants will learn how to partner with global grassroots groups with solidarity, trust, and accountability, and engage directly with movements shaping transformative change and building just futures. Designed for philanthropic decision-makers and influencers, this program is ideal for those moving resources directly or shaping how funding flows to global movements.
