Global Discussion: “Funding for Worker Rights Advancement Initiatives (WRAI)”

This discussion is co-organized by Fundación Avina, EDGE Funders Alliance and Gender Funders Co-Lab and it builds on the report Fundación Avina, with the support and funding of Open Society Foundations, commissioned in the summer 2022, that aimed to map funder initiatives that advance workers’ rights in Europe and Asia Pacific. The research was conducted between August and November 2022 and included desk research, survey and in-depth interviews with relevant actors reflecting the diversity of funders and WRAI movement actors.

The majority of participants in the research expressed a need for a cross-sectoral discussion on how best to support WRAI, that would include different actors and perspectives and therefore we offer this workshop as a first step in addressing this need.
