HRFN’s Global Conference

FUNDING FUTURES FESTIVAL

24-26 April 2024

Tbilisi, Georgia

Join us in Tbilisi, Georgia, to strategize and imagine new possibilities for human rights philanthropy!

Human Rights Funders Network (HRFN) and Ariadne – European Funders for Social Change and Human Rights members and other human rights funders are invited to a week of global connections in partnership with Women’s Fund in Georgia.

At HRFN’s global conferences, funders supporting a range of human rights issues gather from around the world. Together, we challenge ourselves to craft new narratives and practices to guide us toward an abundant global funding ecosystem.

We center the intersectional nature of this work. From Ukraine to Palestine, Guatemala to Myanmar, Nagorno-Karabakh to Sudan, we know that all human rights struggles are deeply interwoven. We are being called to action. There is an urgency to meet, reflect, and find paths to shift power, transform systems of oppression, and resource movements. Key issues such as climate justice, racial and gender justice, and crisis and closing civic space will be woven throughout the conference.

We spark action. Keep building momentum to strengthen the infrastructure needed for more effective, coordinated, and movement-centered resourcing. Participants can lead Discovery Journey sessions for strategizing and action, introduce stories of change and power in Lightning Talks, and showcase inspiring projects in the Open Gallery.

We learn with partners and will listen to local movements. In a joint day with Ariadne, we will explore the rich history of resistance to imperialism and activism in Tbilisi and across the region, unpack the global impacts of the war in Ukraine – and funders’ response – and make connections to global movements’ struggles for justice.

HRFN’s Festival is a space for funders to learn, connect, and build new visions for philanthropy.
