Registration And Eligibility 

I really want to attend the Funding Futures Festival but all tickets are sold out. How can I potentially attend the festival? 

We are SOLD OUT. Thank you for your interest in attending the Funding Futures Festival 2024. All tickets are currently sold out. Please fill out the waitlist form if you wish to be notified if and when more tickets become available.

What is the registration fee, and what does it cover?

The registration fee covers admission to Festival activities, several meals (joint reception, daily lunches, and evening dinners), and transportation to external locations. Hotel accommodation is not included.

Registration for HRFN’s Festival does not include admission to Ariadne’s 2024 Annual Reconnect. Participants must register for each event separately.

Participants who wish to attend both Ariadne’s 2024 Annual Reconnect and HRFN’s Festival will receive a discount code ($100 USD) at the time of registration. Attendees will need to register for each event separately. See more information here.

Who can attend HRFN’s Funding Futures Festival?

HRFN’s Festival is open to all HRFN members, other human rights funders, and individuals whose work focuses on resourcing human rights movements.

Non-HRFN members may attend if they fit the following criteria:

  1. Foundation/Funding Institutions: Representatives from organizations that make grants as a primary program area. This might include:
    1. Grantmaking institutions, such as private foundations, corporate foundations, family foundations, public foundations, community foundations, donor-advised funds, collaborative funds, governmental funding entities, and operating foundations
    2. Philanthropic consultancy, support, advisory, or hosting organizations
    3. Grantmaker affinity groups and networks
    4. Individuals whose work focuses on resourcing human rights and funding.

Can I attend if I am unaffiliated with an organization? 

Individuals can attend if their work focuses on resourcing the human rights movement. Registration for individuals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Can movement or civil society organizations attend? 

This is a funder space. Movement and civil society organizations are not eligible to register for the Festival, except those invited to participate in Open Gallery or Discovery Journey sessions hosted by registered organizations. Movement and civil society organizations participants invited to participate are eligible to attend the full Festival.

We recognize the importance of movement-funder collaboration and will hold a dedicated joint day with regional civil society organizations in partnership with Ariadne and the Women’s Fund in Georgia.

How many people can register per organization? 

Seven is the maximum number of representatives per organization who can attend.

Does HRFN provide funding for participants who have sessions accepted?

No. While we hope to bring a broad range of participants, we are not able to provide additional funding for session leads.

Are there discounts for session presenters and speakers?

No, HRFN doesn’t offer discounts for session presenters and speakers.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations received before 1 March 2024 will be refunded after deducting a/with a deduction of $100 cancellation fee.

Cancellations received after 2 March 2024 will not be eligible for a refund. Registrations can be canceled online through Whova.

Registrations can also be transferred to another person from the same organization. Email HRFN at conference@hrfn.org to transfer your registration.

No refunds will be given for no-shows.

 

Visas

Where can I find information about visas to Georgia?

You can request an invitation letter from HRFN when you register here. Please visit the following official websites from the Government of Georgia to find out if you need a visa:

If you are required to apply for a visa, as a first step, please check if you can apply for an E-Visa here.

If you are not eligible to apply for an E-visa, please contact the Georgia Consulate or Embassy in your country of residence. If there is no Georgian diplomatic presence in your country, then please contact the Georgia Consulate in any neighboring country at your earliest convenience.

Timeline and cost for visas

Decision on issuing a short-term visa is made in 10 calendars days upon receiving visa application and other necessary documents; while an online application submitted through the website of the ministry of Foreign affairs of Georgia www.evisa.gov.ge (E-ViSA PORTAL) shall be processed and an electronic visa shall be issued not later than within 5 days from submitting an online application. The visa costs USD 20 + 2% service tax. 

 

Membership

How do I know if my organization is a member? 

Check here to see if your organization is a member and if your membership is up to date. Eligible organizations that are not members can join and receive retroactive member rates for the festival once their membership has been finalized.

How do I renew my dues for HRFN membership?

To renew your 2024 HRFN membership dues, please visit the Membership Dues Status page here. Please fill out the form at the end of the page. Our team will follow up within 2-3 days with an invoice and instructions on processing the payment.

How do I join HRFN as a member?

We recommend taking a moment to familiarize yourself with the HRFN membership criteria to confirm that your institution meets the requirements. Once you’ve reviewed and ensured that your institution fulfills the requirements, please proceed to complete the HRFN membership application form. After submitting the form, expect a follow-up from our team within 2-3 days with the outcome of your application.

Can we use the member rate if we are not members but have submitted an application? 

If your membership application is pending, we recommend using the normal rate during the registration process. In the event that your application is accepted, we will promptly refund the difference between the non-member rate and member rate.

 

Location And Accessibility

Will HRFN provide hotel rooms?

Hotel accommodation is not included in the registration fee. However, HRFN has a block of rooms at the Rooms Hotel in Tbilisi that can be booked during the Festival. You can make bookings directly using the following link. Additional hotel information is available here.

What are the accessibility accommodations?

HRFN’s Funding Futures Festival strives to center access. The Rooms Hotel and Stamba Hotel have wheelchair access, and we will ensure the spaces are accessible for all abilities.

Will childcare be available?

Childcare will be available from Wednesday morning to Friday afternoon upon request. Please indicate your childcare needs when you register. 

Can I share a report or present work we have been doing? 

Sign up for the Open Gallery. This will be a curated live gallery space where people can bring digital or printed materials. We will also share any relevant materials on our website for those not in attendance.
