Hosted by Purposeful and SIHA team
Girls and young women are disproportionately impacted by and responding to the crisis in Sudan. They are at the frontlines resisting for their safety, security, dignity, and freedom. In light of the paramount challenges and threats, their organising has shifted, and, more than ever, it’s time to practice transformative solidarity.
In response to the urgency of this moment, join us for a conversation led by Sudanese activists who bring a feminist perspective to the ongoing crisis in Sudan, share their lived experiences, and offer a counter-narrative to the misinformation widely spread across mainstream media.
In partnership with the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa “SIHA”, we hold space for Sudanese activists to articulate how actors across the feminist ecosystem can support and sustain their role in navigating the crisis, ending the war and building peace, and leading healing and collective political recovery.
The event will be in English with Arabic, French, Spanish, and sign language interpretation.
