About HRFN’s Funding Futures Festival

Gathering for HRFN conferences has been a hallmark of our network since its founding. Together, members and partners dive into the most pressing issues in human rights funding. Our most recent gathering, in 2024, featured 390 participants representing 180 organizations and 72 countries.

HRFN conferences generate action and change through strategy sessions, presentations, exhibitions, site visits, and partner-led gatherings. We have seen small groups turn into pooled funds, session partners become funding partners, and strategy sessions generate long-lasting infinity groups around the leading issues facing human rights movements today.

HRFN’s Funding Futures Festivals are deeply rooted in place, connecting local movements to the global landscape of human rights funding. We are grateful to our host committees, local partners, and sponsors, past and present, for grounding the Festival in the rich history of organizing and human rights in the region.
