Anti-rights movements are coordinated. They have the political sponsorship, legal strategy and generous funding to push their agendas across borders. African feminists have long understood that a coordinated attack requires a coordinated response, and they have and continue to build the resistance through alliances and collective organising.

For the sixth episode of the Black Feminist Politics Series, “Countering the Opposition: Lessons from African Feminists,” we listen to African feminists as they share what they have learned over decades of holding the line against repression and upholding justice.
