Beyond Crisis: A feminist humanitarian response that centers girls and young people
Girls and young feminists are at the forefront of humanitarian response efforts during every crisis globally while continuing their organising so that important gains in the feminist and human rights agenda are advanced. To move beyond crisis, we must center their leadership and work. This piece article lifts up perspectives of girls and young feminists from Ukraine, South Sudan, Nicaragua, Palestine and Georgia in crisis contexts, as well as highlights the role girls and young feminists play in responding to and organizing during crisis more broadly. Our hope is to motivate others to resource the brave and brilliant strategies girls and young feminists bring to crisis response and to promote a more feminist humanitarian response.
