Brenda is a feminist queer organizer born and raised in the southern Andes. They have been committed to mobilizing resources to LGBTQI communities, including at Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, where as a Senior Program Officer, they led portfolios in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Brenda was part of the Latin American Grant Making Advisers of FRIDA: The Young Feminist Fund, and have produced media projects for migrant justice, and against U.S. military intervention across Latin America, with the Portland Central America Solidarity Committee and Deep Dish TV. They are a proud member of the Audre Lorde Project and a graduate of the United World Colleges (UWC) movement. They love the ocean and the Andes.
